In an event attended by Senior Officials of the Costa Rican government and Diplomatic Representatives, Oscar Echeverría, President of the Chamber, emphasised the importance of sharing the Olympic and Paralympic Games’ universal values; being respect, excellence, and friendship.
Bribery Act 2010 Seminar
The British Embassy, along with the British Chamber and the AmCham organised a seminar about the importance of fighting corruption to achieve an optimal economic development. This seminar was conducted by British barrister John McKendrick.
As part of the festivities the British community are carrying out in celebration of the Olympic Games that will take place in London from July 27th through August 12th, 18 photographs entitled “London Games 2012 – A journey through sports” where exhibited at Parque Morazán. The exhibition was inaugurated March 2nd as part of the Transitarte Fair organized by the San José Municipality, where members of the British Embassy, Municipality and Costa Rican Olympic Committee attended.
Shaken Not Stirred: The Best of British
Premier of the movie ‘Skyfall’ several days before the national release, allowing guests an exclusive access to this anticipated movie. The premier at the IMAX of NovaCinemanas in Avenida Escazú had an elegant reception prior to entering the movie theatre. Guests were able to walk down the red carpet before entering the reception, not before being greeted by a Bond girl and the very James Bond (both models), giving the event an air of exclusivity and elegance.
